Hey everyone,
Over the course of the last few months, I have been revealing and giving hints towards my project of "The mind is a wonderful place", I can now gladly say that I have finished the final book.
During my time developing this project, I have released small peeks into the project, creating a booklet version to display the images and test the sequencing to make it feel like a genuine journey, I have received feedback from many people, asking what they found interesting about the project and also asking what they felt could change.
As shown in my last post, I began to experiment with the idea of placing the images into my personal journal which was linked to feedback I had received, both from tutors and friends, suggesting that they liked the handwritten element and wanted to see more.
Also the Portfolio page for The mind is a wonderful place is up now check it out!
I will be getting the physical copy printed within the next week, using DoxZoo, the same place that I had ordered my booklet from, and it will be printed on Matte smooth paper and with a soft touch laminated cover to give it more of a journalistic feeling. I will also be making the slip case for the book very shortly similar to how I created my mock-up of the book + slip case.
Lastly, as well as printing the book, for a short period of time I will have the book as an HTML5 file online, for people to flip through the book and experience the journey in that format. I will share the link below and have also attached a gif image to this post to give a quick preview of the book.
There may be some final changes to the layout over the next week, but as for now, it is complete.
