Instagram Takeover

Spent a week taking over the Universities photography account

Over the past week, I took part in the University's Photography page (@BAPhotoHudd) on Instagram in which I showed some of my current work from my project as well as gave advice that may seem so simple yet people may forget about because it is simple.

Over the 3 years I have studied here at Huddersfield University, I have seen past students have their turn at posting their work on the platform and remember being fascinated by all the work they produced and was excited for the opportunity to share my work and ideas  with the community when it came to my turn.

My first post was just introducing who I was as well as shared both my university instagram page and my BloorBytes page, with the images being what I considered the best from my project so far and wanted to display them to introduce my project which currently has no name.

My second post was again, more work that I felt was strong in my project as well as giving an important tip which was:

  • Never delete any imae you take, you can use all images for a contact sheet and show experimentation and development which is vital, because if you have no mistakes you cannot show how you have grown and learned in your practice.

Both posts were well recieved by the commuinty recieving up to 72 likes, which made me feel more confident and proud of my own project and work
